Flag Football is a non-contact game that promotes skill development, cardio training and mental strategy. Flag Football is a sport easily adapted to any age, any ability and both males and females. It is one of the fastest growing sports being played in Canada with competition expanding internationally.
Flag football season begins as soon as the fields are dry in the spring - April 17 this year, and wraps up June 1.
Games are played as 40-minute games.

For the 2025 flag seasons, divisions are as follows, by birth years;
U8 – ages 7, 6 (2018, 2019)
U10 – ages 9, 8 (2016, 2017)
U12 – ages 11, 10 (2014, 2015)
U14 – ages 13, 12 (2012, 2013)
U16 – ages 15, 14 (2010, 2011)

You will be required to provide a fundraising bond ($100). If you/your child raises funds that meets/exceeds this amount, your bond will be returned. We will also require a helmet deposit of $100 via cheque (the cheque will be held, not cashed). When your child's helmet is returned in good condition, your bond will be returned.

Competitive Teams will practice Saturdays.

SPRING NFL FLAG FOOTBALL REGISTRATION FEES
Spring Flag Pricing
​
$100 - NFL U8 & U10 -Skills Program
(Development focused.) Practice 1 day/week followed by scrimmage. Season ends end of May.
$150 -NFL U12, U14, U16 - Practice 2 days/week plus 1 game day.

$100 - fundraising bond for NFL Flag registrants (see registration for options)

* New Competitive Flag Football* - separate from NFL Flag. Kamloops is hosting Flag Provincials this year and are looking for U12, U14 & U16 players with at least 1 year KCFS Flag experience to build our Competitive teams. These teams will practice 1 day/week in preparation for Provincial games June 6 - 8 (no weekly games). These teams are separate from NFL Flag Teams and there are a limited number of spots available. Competitive team Fee is $60 + Football BC Insurance (paid at time of registration, and follows athlete through to Tackle Football).
Eligible U12 - U16 players can register for both NFL & Competitive Team.​
Please email registration@kcfs.ca to be added to the Competitive Team registration.

Team shirts, mouthguards are included with all registrations. Players will be required to have cleats.
Soft shell helmets will be provided and will have to be returned when session is done.
